Poetry Legends – with Simon Mole
A poetry project for yr 3 & yr 4
Hi I’m Simon Mole and I am a poet! If you’re reading this it’s likely that you and your class have attended an online live lesson with me in the past. I want to harness the excitement and positivity of those events, and use that spark to inspire a poetry project that runs across a half-term.
Having spoken to a number of Head Teachers, Assistant Heads, and Literacy Leads, I have put together (drum roll please) Poetry Legends!
Could be used to uplift delivery of an existing literacy unit or scheme of work and/or provide a scaffold for oracy objectives by building to a meaningful performance opportunity with an audience and a purpose.
There are only spaces for 10 schools to get involved, and I would love that to include teachers I have already worked with – so I’m sharing it here before I make it more widely available online.
