----------------------------------------------------------

The Word House is a diverse and high-quality spoken word night based in the heart of East London.

It showcases some of the finest talent on the UK’s live literature scene and offers Open Mic slots for anybody who wants to share their work.

Back for Spring, three exceptional featured poets, resident host Dan Simpson and original music mixed by DJ Able.

This time round:

// SALENA GODDEN
A legend on the spoken word scene, Salena Godden is an international performer, regularly featuring on BBC radio, and published by a myriad of mainstream and art-house publications. Notorious performer and raconteur, "catch her as she tumbles breathlessly from one dark thought to the next" says The Times.

// SIMON MOLE
Hailing from a land between hip hop, theatre and spoken word, Simon Mole is featured by The Metro as "the one to watch". Writing honest and passionate poetry, his work explores the unseen and the unheard, the forgotten and yet to occur.

// BYRON VINCENT
"The most precocious talent on show" says The Times. An award-winning wordsmith, fusing comedy, poetry and doe-eyed bewilderment to create unique and truly hilarious spoken word experiences.

// OPEN MIC
All styles welcome. Email thewordhousepoetry@live.co.uk to reserve a spot.
