Hit the Ode is a spoken word poetry night which brings the most exciting poets from the region, the country and the world to the heart of Birmingham. Join us! We have poems. Poems protected by complex passwords; poem scribbled in chalk on pavements; poems soft like ripe avocadoes. Good poems. Come and get them.

From Coventry, David Morley: award-winning poet, celebrated creative writing lecturer, critic, ecologist... And now, finally, Hit the Ode featured act!

From London, The Chill Pill Collective: Mista Gee. Raymond Antrobus. Deanna Rodger. Simon Mole. Adam Kammerling. Yes, yes, that's five top poets, and they are ALL coming over. Watch out.

From Austria, Yasmin Hafedh: one of Vienna's best known poets and rappers, Yasmin uses MC skills, sharp insight and raw talent to dazzle her audiences.
